Nila Dunderman

Nila Dunderman, 84, of Antwerp, passed away Tuesday, August 29, 2023 at her home.  

Nila was born in Ft. Wayne on November 21, 1938, a daughter of the late Velma (Guethe) & John Leslie.

On December 26 1954, Nila married the love of her life, Larry and started their life together. She became the mother of five children and kept busy caring for them and creating a loving home. She was a devoted wife to Larry for 68 years. In her spare time, Nila became the president and lifetime member of the VFW Women's Auxiliary, and volunteered as a girl scout leader and helped with costume design for many 3rd grade operetta performances. Nila had a soft spot for many animals, but especially her dogs. She always knew how to tell a good story and could be quite feisty at times. She will be remembered most for her generous heart who gave everything for her family, whom she loved dearly. 

Nila will be sadly missed by her husband, Larry; children, Cynthia Cordero & Randy and Charles Dunderman; 9 grandchildren; & 15 great grandchildren.

Nila was preceded in death by her children, Lawrence Dunderman & Tina Huebner; & grandson, Michael Panico. 

She will be laid to rest privately in Maumee Cemetery.
