Opal Ashba

Opal B Ashba, 84, of Woodburn, IN passed away Thursday, April 5, 2018 at Parkview Regional Medical Center.

Opal was born on Nov. 24, 1933 in Grant County, IN a daughter of the late Rev. Walter Raleigh Howard & Mary Elizabeth (Bradford) Howard.

She was a custodian at Woodlan High School in Woodburn. 

Opal will be sadly missed by her children, Cheryl (Brent) Saylor of Haviland & Andrew Ashba of Woodburn, IN & daughter-in-law Meg Ashba of Bloomington, IN; sisters, Ruth Chaplin of Marion, IN & Alice (Robert) Johns of LaFountain, IN; 8 grandchildren, Matthew (Alyssa) Saylor, Michelle (Jesse) Orona, Zech (Amanda) Ashba; Brianna (Derek) Bult, Josiah, Elijah, Isaiah & Olivia Ashba & 8 great grandchildren.  

She was also preceded in death by her son, Mark Ashba; siblings, Mary June, Juanita, Helen, Paul, Cecil, Walter & Philip and grandson, Benjamin Saylor.

Service is Tuesday, April, 10, 2018, 11 am with viewing one hour prior at Dooley Funeral Home, 5761 SR 500, Payne. 

Viewing is also Monday April 9, 2018, 4 - 8 pm at Dooley Funeral Home, Payne.

She will be laid to rest in Wiltsie Cemetery, Payne.
