Patricia Louise Gray

Patricia Gray, 80, of Payne, passed away Monday, May 13, 2024, at Lutheran Hospital.

Patty was born in Paulding, on February 6, 1944, a daughter of the late Helen (Beck) & Carl Young.

Patty graduated from Payne High School in 1962 before attending International Business College. In 1967, she married the love of her life, John, and they shared 57 wonderful years together. Patty worked as a computer operator at International Harvester and later retired from Shambaugh’s. She was a talented seamstress, avid gardener, and skilled cook and baker. Patty was known for her meticulous housekeeping, and she also enjoyed crocheting, quilting, and spending time with her family. She was a devoted fan of the Ohio State Buckeyes and loved watching her nieces and nephews compete in high school athletics. Patty was also a life long member of the Payne Church of Christ. Patty will be deeply missed by all who knew her, but her love and kindness will live on in the hearts of those she touched.

Patty will be sadly missed by her husband, John; siblings; Richard (Susan) Young, William (Jeanine) Young, & Martha Jenkins; sister in laws, Jane Gray & Caroline Dangler; brother in law, Klee Dangler; many nieces and nephews; & beloved cat, Bubba.

Patty was also preceded in death by her sister, Sally Young.

Service will be Friday, May 17th at 5 PM with visitation from 3-5 PM at Dooley Funeral Home, Payne.

She will be laid to rest in St. Paul Cemetery privately.
