Paul E. Daeger

Paul E. Daeger, 97 of Hamilton, IN passed away Thursday, June 7, 2018 at  Lakeland Nursing Center, Angola, IN.

He was born in Antwerp a son of the late Peter & Viola (Strable) Daeger.

Paul proudly served in the U.S. Army during WWII; was a farmer for over 50 years and enjoyed being a member of the Goldwing Riders, Antwerp Rotary, St Vincent DePaul Society and former chairperson for Paulding county farm Bureau. Paul also held a pilot’s license.

He leaves behind his best friend and companion, Gloria Whetstone; children, Mary Ellen (Jerry) Walk,  Michael (Marilyn) Daeger and Randy (Pam) Daeger;  daughter-in-law, Ann Waldman; 10 grandchildren; 19 great grandchildren & 3 great great grandchildren.

He was also preceded in death by his son, Dick & great grandson, Bo Chamberlain.

Funeral Mass is at Divine Mercy Catholic Church, 303 Monroe Street, Antwerp, Ohio on Tuesday, June 12th, 10 am.

Viewing is Monday, 6 – 8 pm at Dooley Funeral Home, 202 W. River St, Antwerp where viewing is also Tuesday, 9 - 9:30 am.

He will be laid to rest in Maumee Cemetery, Antwerp, with military honors.
