Peggy Ward

Peggy Ward, 68, of Antwerp, passed away Saturday, January 22, 2021, at Lima Memorial Hospital.

Peggy was born in Bryan, Ohio on September 2, 1953, a daughter of the late Alice (Weippert) & Jack Cooper.

Peggy worked many years in a factory and as a homemaker, caring for her family which she loved dearly. Many of her favorite moments were spent at family gatherings during the holidays and summers. She also enjoyed gardening, flowers, and finding a great bargain!

In spite of Peggy’s many years of struggles after a debilitating stroke, you could always count on her smile and welcome. She was a friend to a countless number of people, not just an acquaintance. The heart of her soul was her family, she cherished each of them wholeheartedly, without reservation. Anyone who knew Peggy knew she loved the Lord and trusted in Him and looked forward to seeing Him face-to-face. Our hearts are broken here on earth, but her heart is breaking with the joy and comfort of being present with our Heavenly Father. Truly she was loved, truly she will be missed.

She will be sadly missed by her husband, Richard, to whom she was married May 12, 1978; daughters, Michelle (Pat) Johnson & BJ (Brian) Aldrich; siblings, Patsy (Ray) McClure & Kim (Jerry) Cooper; grandchildren, Cameron, Brooke, Seth, Devin, Kaitlynn, Brandon, Noah, Zackary, Grace, Jonah, Isaiah, & Jeremiah; great grandchildren, Hunter, Landyn, Nicholas, Adilyn, & Lyla.

Viewing is Tuesday, January 25, 2022 from 4-7 PM at Dooley Funeral Home 202 W River St Antwerp, Ohio 45813.

Service is Wednesday, January 26, 2022 at 1:30 PM with viewing one hour prior at the First Baptist Church, 5482 County Rd 424, Antwerp, OH 45813.

She will be laid to rest at Sherwood Cemetery.
