Penny Ryan

Penny L. Ryan, 79, of Antwerp, Ohio passed away Friday, March 14, 2025 at Defiance Inpatient Hospice Center.

Penny was born in Antwerp, Ohio on December 23, 1945, a daughter of the late Clara Belle (Quaintance) and Robert Ray Banks.

She was a graduate of Antwerp High School and went on to become a licensed beautician. Penny and Larry raised their four children in a home filled with love and humor. They especially enjoyed camping at Manapogo Campground. The family will always remember how she loved bowling, canning food, playing Bingo, sewing and nurturing plants and flowers.

Penny will be sadly missed by her husband, Larry; children, Mark (Lisa) Ryan, Jeffery (Dawn) Ryan, Gregory (Dianna) Ryan and Amber (Daniel) Foust; sister, Joan Baker; 10 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren and her dog, Charlie.

She was also preceded in death by her siblings, Barry, Kim, Nick, and Karen.

Visitation is Tuesday, March 18th, 4:00 PM to 6:30 PM with Catholic Vigil Service at 6:30 PM at Dooley Funeral Home, 202 W. River Street, Antwerp.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 AM on Wednesday, March 19th at Divine Mercy Catholic Church, 203 W. Townline Street, Payne, Ohio. PLEASE MEET AT CHURCH AFTER 9:45 AM

She will be laid to rest in Maumee Cemetery, Antwerp.
