Ray "Pinky" Billman, 80, of Antwerp, passed away Friday, October 5, 2012, at Lutheran Hospital, Fort Wayne.
Pinky was born in Antwerp on September 30, 1932, a son of the late Thelma (Leaman) and Cecil Billman.
He proudly served his country for 11 years in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean & Vietnam Wars, reaching the rank of Staff Sergeant.
He worked at Dana Weatherhead, Antwerp & Dietrich Industries, Hicksville and was a school crossing guard in Antwerp for many years.
Pinky was a member of the Antwerp United Methodist Church, Antwerp School Board, Antwerp Fire Department and VFW & American Legion Posts.
On June 30, 1956 Pinky married Darlene Elwell.
Pinky will be sadly missed by his wife, Darlene; 3 children, Tony & Judy Billman & Lisa (Ed) Glass, all of Antwerp & granddaughters, Amanda Knotts & Adrienne Glass & great grandchild, Jonah Knotts.
He is also preceded in death by his brother, Max.
Viewing is Monday, 2-4 & 6-8 pm, at Dooley Funeral Home, Antwerp.
His funeral service is at Antwerp United Methodist Church at 10 am on Tuesday, October 9th, with viewing one hour prior.
He will be laid to rest at Maumee Cemetery, with military honors.
