Richard L. Lucas, age 69, of Antwerp, OH passed away Sunday, August 21st, 2005 at his residence.
Doc was born in Hicksville, Ohio on June 19, 1936, he was the son of the late Leo and Volera (Shreeve) Lucas.
He was the widower of Marlene Z. (Coles) Lucas. They were married November 26, 1955. Marlene passed away November 15, 1998.
He was an avid gunsmith & cabinet maker. He was a member of the Hicksville Eagles and a social member of Antwerp VFW Post 5087. Doc always enjoyed hunting & fishing and working many years with the Boy Scouts.
Doc retired from Phelps Dodge, New Haven, Indiana.
He is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Julie & Dave Hall of Antwerp; sons and daughters-in-law, Mark of Paulding, David & Caril of Fort Wayne, Scott & Kyra of Hamilton, Indiana and Jeff & Lorie of Antwerp; sisters, Rita Gonja of Angola, IN & MaryAnn Frederick of Antwerp and 11 grandchildren.
Doc's brothers, Jerry and Frank have passed away.
You are invited to participate in his funeral service at Dooley Funeral Home, Antwerp, at 11 am EDT on Wednesday, August 24th, with Rev. Jim Edwards officiating.
You may call Tuesday, 5 to 9 pm, with an Eagles Service at 7:30 pm and Wednesday, 10 am at Dooley Funeral Home.
He will be laid to rest at Maumee Cemetery, Antwerp.
In his memory contributions may be made to Antwerp Boy Scout Troop 143.
