Robert E. Baumle

Robert E. Baumle, 99, of Payne, passed away Friday, May 3, 2019 at Vancrest of Payne.

Bob was born in Harrison Twp.on October 18, 1919, a son of the late Vivian (Hummell) and Roman Baumle.

He was a 1937 graduate of Payne High School, served his country in the Army in World War II and came home to farm the soil he defended. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather & member of Divine Mercy, Knights of Columbus (Infant of Prague) and Payne American Legion Post.

He will be sadly missed by his wife, Frances (Coleman) whom he married April 18, 1964; children, Paul (Kathy) Miller, Peter (Connie) Miller, Patsy (Todd) Wiedemann, Patrick (Wendy) Baumle & Jack (Annette) Baumle; 15 grandchildren & 5 great grandchildren.

He was also preceded in death by his brothers, Norbert, John & Harold Baumle.

Funeral Mass is Tuesday, 10 am Divine Mercy Catholic Church, Payne.

Visitation is Tuesday, 9 - 9:30 am at Dooley Funeral Home, 5761 SR 500, Payne where visitation is also Monday, 4 - 7 pm with a vigil at 7 pm.

He will be laid to rest at St. John the Baptist Catholic Cemetery, with military honors.

IN LIEU OF FLOWERS, memorials are to Payne American Legion Post for Buckeye Boys State.
