Robert Smalley

Robert Dale Smalley, 88, of Antwerp, passed away Monday, August 26, 2024, at Vancrest of Payne. 

Bob was born in Paulding on November 26, 1935, a son of the late Vira (Shrider) & Raymond Smalley. 

Bob was a dedicated individual who proudly served his country in the U.S. Army, demonstrating his commitment to duty and honor. After his military service, he built a successful career at BF Goodrich, where he eventually retired. Bob was also a man of deep faith, actively participating as a faithful member of the  First Baptist Church of Antwerp. In his free time, he found joy in harness horse racing, a passion that brought him great happiness throughout his life.

He will be sadly missed by his children, Dale (Kelly), Raymond (Donna), & John Smalley; 5 grandchildren; & 6 great grandchildren. 

Bob was preceded in death by his wife, Bruxie (Hicks), who passed away March 1, 1990; brothers, Paul & Bill; & sisters, Ellen, Lodena, & Nellie. 

Service is Friday, August 30th at 10:30 AM with viewing from 9 AM to 10:30- AM at the First Baptist Church, 5482 County Rd 424, Antwerp, Ohio 45813. 

He will be laid to rest in St. Paul Cemetery, Paulding.
