Roger Schlegel
Roger Lee Schlegel, 84, of Antwerp, passed away Monday, June 6, 2011 at Paulding County Hospital.
Roger was born in Sherwood on March 25, 1927, a son of the late Mable (Kissabeth) and William Schlegel.
He served in the U.S. Army in WW II and was a member of the Antwerp VFW & American Legion Post & Mount Calvary Lutheran Church of Antwerp.
Roger worked for 23 1/2 years for the NY & Central Railroad and 23 1/2 years for General Electric.
On Nov. 8, 1950 he married Dorothy Hetrick.
He will be sadly missed by his wife, Dorothy; children Debra Bechtol, Lyle & Jerl all of Antwerp; brother, Alva of Swanton; 4 grandchildren & 2 great grandchildren. He is also preceded in death by 4 brothers & 2 sisters.
Roger's memorial service is at Mount Calvary Lutheran Church of Antwerp at 11 am on Wednesday, June 8th.
Memorials are to the church.
