Rose Marie Moorman

Rose M. Moorman 73, of Payne passed away at 2:30 AM at the Van Wert Inpatient Hospice Center on Tuesday June 1, 2010. She was born on October 7, 1936, in Fort Wayne, Indiana, the daughter of Edward and Bertha (Young) Ross. She married Joseph, A. Moorman on November 21, 1972.

Rose retired after 17 years of service from The National Seal Company of Van Wert. She was an avid reader and enjoyed shopping and making crafts.

She is survived by her husband Joe; two daughters Jean Marie Carver of Edgerton, Indiana, and Jan Rose Lawson of Fort Wayne, Indiana; a sister Vivian Snyder of Fort Wayne; and a brother James (Mary) Ross of Fort Wayne. She is also survived by 4 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren. Rose was preceded in death by a brother Frank Ross.

Visitation will be from 4:00 to 8:00 PM on Wednesday June 2, at the Dooley Funeral Home, Payne. Funeral services will be at 1:00 PM Thursday, June 3, 2010, at the funeral home with the Rev. Joseph Allen of St. James Lutheran Church officiating. There will be one hour of visitation starting at noon prior to the service. Burial will be in the Wiltsie Cemetery in Payne.
