Ruth E. Deventer

Ruth E. Deventer, age 82, of Antwerp, passed away Friday, August 26th, 2005, surrounded by her family at her daughter's home in Fort Wayne.

Born in Antwerp, Ohio on May 25, 1923, she was the daughter of Frank and Madonna (McCurdy) Wilson. Ruth married Devon H. Deventer February 6, 1943. He passed away October 29, 1998.

Ruth enjoyed gardening, making crafts, cooking, traveling & spending time with her friends and family. Some of her most cherished moments were those spent with her great-grandchildren. She was a member of 1st Presbyterian Church of Antwerp.

Ruth will be sadly missed by her daughters & son-in-law, Beth Ann & Budd Champion and Julie Deventer all of Fort Wayne; granddaughters, Melissa Kreilach & Angie Sharp and great grandchildren, Evan & Ava Kreilach and Lauren Sharp. Her sisters, Marilyn Hill & Betty Steiner have passed away.

You are invited to participate in her funeral service at Dooley Funeral Home, Antwerp, at 11 am on Tuesday, August 30th, with Revs. Jim Edwards & Dennis Leinbach officiating.

You may call Monday, 2 - 5 & 7-9 pm EDT and Tuesday 1 hr prior to her service at Dooley Funeral Home.

She will be laid to rest at Maumee Cemetery, Antwerp.
