Sharon Ann McConnell

Sharon Ann McConnell, 80, of Woodburn, passed away Saturday, October 1, 2022, at her home.

Sharon was born in Paulding County on October 8, 1941, a daughter of the late Esther (Hoeppner) & William Zirkelbach.

Sharon worked for much of her life as the Secretary at East Allen County Schools. She enjoyed reading, dancing, and going on vacations with her family. She loved her family and cherished the time spent with her children and grandchildren.

She will be sadly missed by her husband, Tom, to whom she was married on August 16, 1969; son, Frank (Stephanie) Williams; stepdaughter, Robin (Mark) Strasser; daughter-in-law, Wendy McConnell; brothers, Richard (Doris) & William (Ann) Zirkelbach; 7 grandchildren; & 11 great grandchildren.

She was also preceded in death by her son, Michael McConnell & brother, Andrew Zirkelbach.

Viewing is Tuesday, October 4, 2022, 2-5 & 6-8 PM at Christ Lutheran Church, 4412 Park St., Woodburn, IN 46797.

Service is Wednesday, October 5, 2022, at 11 AM with viewing from 10-10:45 AM at the church.

She will be laid to rest at Christ Lutheran Cemetery.

Memorials are to the Christ Lutheran Church.
