Shirley Jean Flores

Shirley Jean Flores, 80, of Payne, passed away Tuesday, November 30, 2021 at Divine Nursing and Rehab at Shane Hill, Rockford.

Shirley was born in Kendallville, Indiana on April 29, 1941, a daughter of the late Ladonna Cleora (Gerber) and George Herman Surface.

One of her favorite things was teaching Sunday school & vacation bible school at Saint Paul United Methodist Church. She thoroughly enjoyed riding her bike around Payne, where she was known as the Avon Lady.

Shirley will be sadly missed by her children, Randall (Chris) Flores & Brenda Flores; siblings, Robert (Shirley) Surface, Barb (Reed) Brock & Janet (Kevin) Life; grandchildren, Amber Howell & Jordan Flores; great grandchildren, Miles, Maddi, Roman & Brady.

She was also preceded in death by her husband, Lupe; son, Steven and brother, George Surface.

Shirley's funeral service is Friday, Dec. 3rd, 10 am with viewing one hour prior at Saint Paul United Methodist Church, 312 S Main St, Payne.

She will be laid to rest in Wiltsie Cemetery, Payne.
