Steve Joseph Koziatek III, 66, of Harlan, Indiana passed away Friday, January 7, 2022 at Ashton Creek, Health & Rehabilitation Center, Fort Wayne.
He was born in Columbus, Ohio on January 29, 1955, a son of the late Loretta Janette (Ferch) Lascola and Steve Joseph Koziatek.
Steve loved cars from a young age. He took his hobby of model cars, airplanes and rockets into being an auto mechanic by trade and electronics buyer. He was a World War II history buff, but also enjoyed science fiction, like Star Trek and Star Wars.
He will be sadly missed by his wife, Rev. Catherine (Picard) Koziatek, to whom he was married July 1, 1989; siblings, Bill Koziatek, Jody Carnes, Leanne (Sam) Cary & Thomas (Tina) Koziatek & numerous nieces and nephews. Also preceding him in death was his brother, Dwight.
His funeral service is 11 AM on Saturday, January 15th at Harlan United Methodist Church, 16434 IN-37, Harlan, Indiana 46743, where visitation is from 9:30 AM to 10:45 AM. Masks are required.
Steve will be laid to rest in Glen Rest Memorial Estate, Reynoldsburg, Ohio.
