Sue Schilb

Sue Schilb, 82, of Antwerp, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her family on Monday, January 23, 2023. 

Sue was born in Fort Wayne on June 22, 1940, a daughter of the late Ruth "Betty" (Stiebling) & Walter "Joe" Ross.

Sue worked as an orthopedic nurse for many years. She cared for patients at Parkview, ONE, and Dr. Kaplansky's office in Fort Wayne. Sue enjoyed tending her flower gardens and would always make sure her house was kept in pristine condition. She had a soft spot for her collies and always loved watching birds at her bird feeders. Above all, Sue was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and friend, and her presence in their lives will be greatly missed. 

Sue is survived by her husband, Walter; children, Jenny Deal, Karen (Tom) Fenker, Steve (Kathy) Schilb, & Scott (Allen) Schilb; siblings, Jan (Don) Farnsworth & Dr. William Ross; 13 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren; & her collie, Daisy. 

Sue was also preceded in death by her brother, Terry Ross.    

Viewing is Friday, January 27, 2023 from 4-7 PM at Dooley Funeral Home, 202 W River Street, Antwerp, Ohio 45813.

Service is Saturday, January 28, 2023 at 11 AM with viewing one hour prior. 

She will be laid to rest in Rochester Cemetery, Cecil, Ohio.
