Susana Coonrod

Susana Coonrod, 80, of Woodburn, Indiana passed away Sunday, March 3, 2024 at Parkview Regional Medical Center, Fort Wayne, Indiana.

Susana was born in Grand Saline, Texas on May 24, 1943, a daughter of the late Petra (Guerrero) and Guadalupe  Flores.

She worked at QuikLok in New Haven, Indiana for 16 years. Susana enjoyed gardening and tending to flowers. She also loved to cook for her family. She especially cherished the time she spent with her children and grandchildren. She will be remembered most for her faith in God and the special way she loved her family.

Susana will be sadly missed by her children, Barbara (David) Prokop, Shelly (Eric) Gebhart and James (Steph) Coonrod; sisters, Gracie Alcalan, Jackie Sanchez and Tulip Santo; 6 grandchildren; and 8 great grandchildren.

She was also preceded in death by her husband of 45 years, Leslie Coonrod and siblings, Margie Bowers, Jane Rash, Lola Larson, Lucy Rivera and Angel, Lupe and Joe Flores.

Viewing is Thursday, March 7, 2024 from 4-6:30 PM with rosary to follow at Dooley Funeral Home, 5761 SR 500, Payne, Ohio. 

Viewing is also on Friday, March 8, 2024 from 9-9:30 AM at the funeral home. 

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Friday, March 8, 2024 at 10 AM at Divine Mercy Catholic Church, 203 W Townline St, Payne, Ohio. 

She will be laid to rest in Wiltsie Cemetery, Payne. 

Memorials are to the Cancer Services of NE Indiana.
