Susie Perriello

Bowling Green, Kentucky - Antwerp, Ohio native Eleanor Marie Perriello, "Susie" to all who knew her, died January 23, 2008 at Rosewood Health Care Center, Bowling Green, Kentucky, of cancer.

Born August 12, 1927 in Hicksville, Ohio to Gerald and Dorothy (Boyce) Fulmer, she moved to Chicago, when she was 16. She married Anthony Perriello in 1954 and gave birth to two sons there, later moving with him to Naugatuck, Connecticut where she gave birth to their daughter.

They moved back to Antwerp in 1984. Not long afterwards, she began a 20+ year career working for the Antwerp Public Schools, an association which brought her great happiness.

Susie was a member of the First Baptist Church of Antwerp, and was active in the Antwerp posts of the American Legion and Veterans of Foreign Wars. She was also a lifelong fan of the Chicago Cubs.

She is survived by her brother, Sam Fulmer and wife, Marie of Coleman, Michigan; half-sister, Carolyn Peverill and husband, Geoff of Malvern, England; son, Vincent Perriello and wife, Christine, of Bowling Green, Kentucky; son, Thomas Perriello and wife, Linda, of Naugatuck CT; daughter, Susann Platt and husband, Richard, of Naugatuck CT; grandchildren, Josephine Perriello, Christopher Perriello, Valerie Newcomb, Cassie Platt, Erin Perriello, Karl Platt and Rachael Perriello; three great-grandchildren; four nieces and four nephews.

You are invited to participate in her funeral service Monday, January 28th, 7:30 pm, at First Baptist Church of Antwerp, with Rev. Jim Edwards officiating.

Viewing Monday, 5 to 7 pm, Monday, with VFW Auxiliary Services at 7 pm at Dooley Funeral Home, 202 W. River Street, Antwerp.

Interment will be at Massachusetts National Cemetery, Bourne MA, with her beloved Anthony, who was laid to rest there after his death in 1989.

The family requests that memorial contributions be made in her name to the Kindergarten class at Antwerp Local School, c/o Antwerp PTO, 303 S. Harrmann Road , Antwerp OH 45813.
