Tyler Matthew Mullins Cavanaugh
Please join us in honoring the beautiful short life of Tyler Matthew Mullins Cavanaugh. Tyler was one of the purest of souls if you had the pleasure of meeting him in his twenty-nine years of life. He brought love, laughter, and incredible warmth to all those who knew him. A tragic accident unexpectedly took his life on the afternoon of August 22, 2024. Our sole condolence is he did not suffer any pain and now waits for us to meet again one day. He dedicated his time to his son and fiance, along with his several nephews and nieces, his brother, his sisters, mom and his friends, and his love of gaming, golfing, and just living life with those he loved and cherished. Tyler found the beauty in life’s simple moments and encouraged us all to do the same.
Ty was born on April 24, 1995 in Napoleon, Ohio. From the moment of birth he brought joy and love to all those in his life. He attended Napoleon schools until fourth grade when he moved to Dover, Ohio where he graduated in 2013 also attending Buckeye Career Center, New Philadelphia, Ohio specializing in HVAC-R. He made his way to Payne, Ohio where he met and created a beautiful family with his fiance, Kristy House. He was a naturally gifted athlete but baseball was his passion during his school career. He was a pitcher, home run king, and a great team player. Ty still made time to attend games with his fiance and son as often as possible. Tyler maintained an active role with his son and fiance and also in the lives of his nephews, nieces and family. Ty also had a natural ability and love of golf. He shared that love with his family and friends and was a joy to play with and watch. Tyler had a lot of life left to live but he lived his life to the fullest and found joy and happiness everyday. He loved spreading positivity and experiencing life hands on, full throttle. Ty was a giver with a heart of gold. He knew the true meaning of family, loyalty, and love. His mark and legacy will never be forgotten, always cherished, and forever missed. He was the best father, partner, brother, son anyone could ask for, whose love for his family was shown for all to see. Tyler was a true role model and stand up guy in every way.
Tyler will be greatly missed by his fiance, Kristy House and their son, Giovanni Mullins; mother, Pamela Borer; step dad, Dave Borer; mother in law, Cheryl House; sisters, Kjersten Cavanaugh and Kailee Cavanaugh; brother, Brett Mullins; several nephews and nieces, cousins, aunts and uncles and in-laws.
