Verna Mae Raber

Verna Mae Raber, 78, of Hicksville, Ohio, passed away at home on Saturday, March 1, 2025. 

Verna Mae was born in Montgomery, Indiana on May 8, 1946, a daughter of the late Magdalena (Wagler) and Joseph Wagler.

 She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. Verna thoroughly enjoyed feeding people and gardening. 

Verna Mae will be sadly missed by her seven children, Regina (Art) Graber of Hicksville, Ohio, Daniel (Lucinda) Raber of Wooster, Ohio, John (Julia) Raber of Hicksville, Ohio, Philip (Rebecca) Raber of Hicksville, Ohio, Mary Magdalena Raber of Hicksville, Ohio, Joshua (Marietta) Raber of Middlebury, Indiana, Ruth Ann Raber of Hicksville, Ohio; siblings, Wallace (Leah), Paul (Mary), Ivan (Lillie), Ray (Verda), Sara Kathryn and Miram Wagler all of Montgomery, Indiana; 30 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren. She was also preceded in death on October 3, 2021 by her husband, David, to whom she was married February 20, 1969 and 3 grandchildren.

Visitation for Verna Mae will be held Saturday, March 1st, 5 pm - 8 pm and Sunday, March 2nd, 10 am - 8 pm in the Hicksville Amish Community Building, 7207 Hicksville Edgerton Road, Hicksville, Ohio. 

Verna Mae's funeral service is Monday, March 3rd, at 9 am in the Hicksville Amish Community Building, 7207 Hicksville Edgerton Road, Hicksville, Ohio. 

She will be laid to rest in the Hicksville Amish Cemetery.
