Wayne Shuherk

Wayne Giles Shuherk, 87, of Antwerp, passed away at 9:30 AM, Saturday, April 18th, 2009 at Defiance Inpatient Hospice Center. Wayne was born in Allen County, IN on October 13, 1921, the son of the late Charles and Edna (Peffley) Shuherk. On December 24,1940 he married Marian E. Stevenson who passed away on June 30, 2005. He was a life long farmer, member of the Paulding County Farm Bureau, the First Presbyterian Church of Antwerp and served several years on the Antwerp Equity Board of Directors.

Wayne will be sadly missed by three sons, Dennis (Nancy) W. Shuherk of Swanton, OH, Douglas (Linda) W. Shuherk of New Haven, Marc (Virginia) D. Shuherk of Paulding, sister, Esther Morrow of Antwerp, brother, Eddie Shuherk of Syracuse, IN; 7 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren, and 2 great-great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by a brother, Lewis E. Shuherk and a grandchild.

You are invited to participate in his service at Dooley Funeral Home, Antwerp, at 11:00 on Tuesday, April 21st, with Rev. Donna Stutzman officiating.

Viewing is Monday, 2-8 pm & Tuesday, 10-10:45 am.

He wil be laid to rest at Maumee Cemetery, Antwerp.
