William Raymond McVey, 71, of Antwerp, passed away at home Thursday, December 24, 2020.
Bill was born in Welston on October 9, 1949, a son of the late Marjorie (Halterman) and William McVey.
He proudly served his country in the U.S. Army from 1966 to 1968. He worked as a cement mixer operator for 30 years for Irving Ready Mix. Bill loved to camp, spend time on his boat, follow NASCAR and cheer for the Ohio State Buckeyes. Bill was often heard saying, "Expect the worst, but hope for the best. That's all there is to it".
Bill will be sadly missed by his children, Sara McVey, Holly Flores, Steven (Cynthia) Steele; brother, Ralph Jividen; 9 grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren and Cuddles the cat.
He was also preceded in death by his wife, Roberta "Bobbi" and sister, Rita Perkins.
Viewing is Wednesday, Dec. 30, 2020, 4 to 7 pm, at Dooley Funeral Home, 202 W. River Street, Antwerp, Ohio 45813.
Due to state mandate, guests must wear masks at all times, maintain social distancing, and refrain from contact to keep everyone safe while participating in Bill's viewing.
