Bill Woodcox
William F. Woodcox, 76, of Antwerp, passed away at 3:49 AM, Sunday, August 29, 2010 at Parkview Hospital, Fort Wayne.
Bill was born in Antwerp on September 18, 1933, a son of the late Margie (Cattin) and John Woodcox.
He served in England in the U.S. Army Air Corp & was a punch press operator at General Electric Fort Wayne. He was a member of First Presbyterian Church of Antwerp & the G.E. Quarter Century Club. Bill was an artist, woodworker and mechanic, who enjoyed working on model homes and his 1966 International pickup truck.
On Dec 11, 1955 Bill married Margaret Stacey, who died June 12, 1994.
He will be sadly missed by his daughter Julia (Ray) Gross of Antwerp; sons, Brian (Maureen) of Butler, IN, Kevin (Laura) of Antwerp & David (Hayley) of Fort Wayne; brother, Jerry of Deming, NM; sister, Linda Downs of Montpelier; 7 grandchildren & 1 great grandchild. His brother, Dennis, also preceded him in death.
Bill's funeral service is at the First Presbyterian Church of Antwerp at 11 am on Thursday, September 2nd, with viewing one hour prior.
Viewing is also Wednesday, 2-4 & 6-8 pm at Dooley Funeral Home, Antwerp.
He will be laid to rest at Maumee Cemetery.
Memorials are to the church or Antwerp Branch Library.
