Francis "Woody" Fulk, 89, of Payne, passed away Thursday, November 11, 2010 peacefully due to heart failure, at Lutheran Hospital, Fort Wayne.
Woody was born in McGill on February 6, 1921, a son of the late Nora Mae (Stahlbaum) and William Fulk. He proudly served in the U.S. Army in WW II and earned an Associates Degree from IUPU.
He was a machinist at General Electric, Fort Wayne and a member of St. Paul United Methodist Church, Payne & the Payne American Legion Post.
On March 18, 1940 Woody married Mary Jane Lunn. He will be sadly missed by his wife, Mary Jane; daughter, Mary Diane Smith of Mountain View, HI; sons, Mark (Janet) of Austin, TX & Kent of Harahan, LA; grandchildren, Sasha & Lisa Smith, Corrie Fowble, Mike & Mason Fulk and great grandchildren, Makani Smith & Thunder Shiviah.
His graveside service is at Lehman Cemetery, Payne with Rev Julia Ronngren & Payne American Legion Post officiating on Wednesday, Nov 17th at 11 am.
